Recently, many attentions have been focused to conducting/semiconducting polymers for electronic device applications. In this study, poly(N-alkylpyrrole), poly(N-alkoxyalkylpyrrole), poly(4-arylquinoline), perylene-based polymer/oligomer, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) which were soluble in organic solvents were synthesized as semiconducting/comducting polymers. Using these materials, field effect transistor (FET), PDLC(polymer dispersed liquid crystal) devices were fabricated and their electrical properties were measured. In device fabrication, microcontact printing, line patterning were used to make the circuit on substrate. Conducting/semiconducting layer were made by spin casting, in-situ deposition etc. The relationship between device performance and the structure of the materials/processing conditions will be discussed.
