제목 Amipolar Organic Light-Emitting Transistors Based on Conjugated Polymers
초록 Recently organic light-emitting devices (OLED) have been successfully introduced into display market. However, a thin film transistor (TFT), which is normally made with inorganic materials such as silicon, should be imbedded to realize large size and high resolution OLED displays, leading to so-called active matrix OLED (AM-OLED). The drawback of inorganic TFTs is high manufacturing cost which is mainly ascribed to high processing temperature and use of expensive fabrication facilities. In order to resolve this drawback, organic thin film transistors (OTFT) have been introduced even though the current record of OTFT performance is significantly lower than that of well-developed inorganic TFTs. As a contingency, we have studied organic light-emitting transistors (OLET) which can provide a combined feature of OLED and OTFT. In this presentation we show a basic principle of OLET made using conjugated polymers and then ambipolar characteristics of polymer-based OLET will be discussed.
