제목 | The Effect of Capping Material on Dispersion of CdS Nanoparticles |
초록 | The semiconductor nanoparticles are expected to play a major role in photovoltaic devices because their chemical and electronic properties could be tailored by controlling the sizes of particles. But the problem is the difficulty in dispersing them uniformly in organic solvent due to crystal growth, which results in the increased size and the precipitation. To solve this problem, we applied capping materials in the synthesis of CdS nanoparticles by reverse-micelle method and we compared the effect of capping materials on the dispersion of the particles in organic solvents. The prepared CdS nanoparticles had diameters of 3~10 nm, whose band gaps were 2.0~3.2 eV. Depending on the capping materials dispersion and aggregation of particles were remarkably different. The nanopraticles were also characterized by using X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, UV-Vis, cycle voltametry, TGA and TEM. |
