Organic semiconductors have attracted an enormous amount of interest for use in organic field effect transistors. Especially, organic single-crystal based transistors have interested for outstanding electrical characteristics. Recently, solution deposited TIP-PEN single crystal transistors have been reported. But, there still many factors limiting the application of OTFTs. One challenging task is the pattering of TIP-PEN crystal. Here, we have developed the technology to enable patterning of single crystal TIPS-PENs between a source and drain contact of an OTFT on patterned SAMs. The TIP-PEN solution temperature and the solvent environment were varied to achieve condition. The process provides an intimate contact between TIP-PEN single crystal and the dielectric layer. TIPS-PEN based OTFTs show high carrier mobilities and long environment stability without encapsulation. The electrical properties of the TIP-PEN single crystal OTFTs were measured using semiconductor system. |
