제목 Development of semi-transparent thin film silicon solar cell with p-type hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon oxide layer
초록 Recently, the transparent solar cells is being in the spotlight as ecofriendly-technologies in building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) window. In the BIPV window system, high optical transmittance at visible ray, stability and durability are very important point. Thin film silicon solar cells made of inorganic material are known to be more stable and durable than organic solar cells with organic material and dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC).
Here, we report on the fabrication and characteristic of semi-transparent thin film silicon solar cells with AZO/Ag/AZO transparent electrode based on p-type hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon oxide layer on the FTO substrate. The p-n μc-SiOx:H, i-a-Si:H solar cell stacks were deposited by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) and AZO/Ag/AZO transparent electrode stacks were deposited by sputtering at room temperature. We achieved power conversion efficiency of about 6% with transmittance of about 18% by changing the p-layer parameter.
