제목 | Preparation and Physical Properties of Hydrogels containing Polyethylene glycol |
초록 | A series of hydrogels were prepared from 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA), ethylene glycol dimethacrylate(EGDMA) and polyethylene glycol methacrylate(PGM). AIBN was used as an initiator for polymerization. Analyzing the water contents and contact angles, and tensile strength of the hydrogels, we found the contents of PGM monomer increased, water content decreased, contact angles increased. However, hydrogels containing PGM showed higher protein resistance properties than HEMA-based hydrogel. Photo-initiated radical polymerization of HEMA, EGDMA and PGM was also undertaken using Irgacure651 for the energy efficiency. The rate of polymerization and conversions to polymer are increased as the increase in concentration of the photo-initiator. |
