제목 Synthesis of nanocrystalline TiO2 powders from titanium oxysulfate solutions under hydrothermal conditions
초록 Nanocrystalline anatase powders with particle sizes from 8 to 38 nm have been synthesized by hydrothermal treatment of aqueous TiOSO4 solutions and TiO2 nH2O amorphous gel. The products have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and BET method. Photocatalytic activity was evaluated as a rate constant of decomposition reaction of methylene blue determined from the changes of relative concentration of MB with irradiation time. The decrease in rate constant at small FWHM side was supposed to be due to cooperative effects of partial transformation of anatase to rutile and decrease in surface area.
