Synthesis and Characterization of Polythiophene Derivative containing Naphthalene forOTFTs |

Organic Thin-Film Transistors (OTFTs) based on oligomeric and polymeric organic semiconductors are applied to active-matrix display, organic light emitting diodes, and electronic paper displays. A valuable characteristic to decide the performance of OTFTs is the field effect mobility of the charge carriers in the organic semiconductor layer and by the efficiency of injecting and extracting carriers at the source and drain contacts. In this paper, we report the synthesis and characterization of poly(thiophene) containing naphthalene for their behavior as FET semiconductors. The new polymer was prepared by a Suzuki coupling reaction. The materials were measured by DSC, TGA, and GPC etc. |
