Improved mechanical and thermal properties of Polyketone(PK)/Polyamide(PA11) blends by hydrogen bonding |
초록 |
Polymer blends have been considered as an effective way to tailor specific performance properties of desired polymers. In this study, we prepared the PK/PA11 blends to employ the hydrogen bonds between the amide groups of the PA11 chains and the carbonyl group of the PK chains. From the FT-IR, FE-SEM, DMA, universal testing machine (UTM), impactometer, TGA and DSC measurements, we confirm the inter-associated hydrogen bonds between the components as well as demonstrate that their presence between the components in the PK/PA11 blend can promote compatibility and also miscibility and consequently has significant effects on the mechanical and thermal properties of the blends. |
