We have fabricated novel metal introduced thiol modified silica coated magnetic bead (TM-bead) and analyzed their optical property. TM-beads were introduced totally 6 types of gold(Au) with silver(Ag) or gold(Au) and compared. Ag introduced TM-beads were prepare by two different methods; Pre-synthesized Ag nanoparticles(NPs) were immobilized onto TM-Bead (TM-bead@Ag NPs) and Ag was grown onto TM-bead (TM-bead@AgG). Likewise, Au ions were immobilized onto TM-bead@Ag NPs (TM-bead@Ag NPs@AuG) and TM-bead@AgG (TM-bead@AgG@AuG) or Au NPs were immobilized onto TM-bead@Ag NPs (TM-bead@Ag NPs&Au NPs) and TM-bead@AgG (TM-bead@AgG&Au NPs), respectively. Subsequently, the particles were analyzed by using UV-Vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX).Furthermore, the novel metal immobilized magnetic beads can be used for biological, chemical and material applications as a plasmonic tunable magnetic bead. |
