제목 Ag Assembled SiO2 nanostructure coated with Thin silica shall for Expanding practical application of SERS analytes
초록 Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is used as an optical detection tool. SERS provides molecule-specific spectroscopic fingerprint for detecting chemicals. However, it is still challenging to detect molecules with no specific affinity to metal surfaces. To avoid this problem, we studied assembled metal nanoparticles (NPs) structures because assembled metal NPs structures might be advantageous for quantitative and sensitive detection of chemicals than single NP structures. In this study, Silica-coated and assembled Ag nanoparticles (SiO2@Ag@SiO2 NPs) are used for the detection of aniline (amino group) and 4-aminothiophenol (thiol group). SiO2@Ag@SiO2 NPs can exhibit intense SERS activity because assembled structure causes hot spots at a plasmonic nanojuction. These NPs are successfully able to detect aniline in water from a faucet. Results suggest that SERS-based detection utilizing SiO2@Ag@ SiO2 NPs can be an empirical detection tool for chemical pollutants.
