Effect of New Viologen Derivatives with Hydroxyl groups as the Electron Transfer Layer on the Properties of Polymer Solar Cell |

As fossil fuels are depleted, it is necessary to develope new ways using renewable natural energy. Polymer solar cell(PSC) is a one of useful source of energy. Many researchers have focused on improvement the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of PSC such as introducing the cathode (anode) interlayer, and synthesizing new low bandgap conducting polymer. In this study, we synthesize and introduce the viologen derivatives with hydroxyl groups as an electron transfer layer between ZnO layer and the active layer. As a results, viologen derivatives can form the favorable interface dipole because of hydroxyl groups. Workfunction of ZnO is increased since interface dipole is directed away from ZnO. Herein we report the effect of hydroxyl groups on device performances of PSC. |
