제목 Syndiotactic polystyrene by novel xylene bridged dinuclear half-titanocene/MAO systems.
초록 The successfully synthesis of [Ti(η5-cyclopentadienyl)Cl2L]2-ortho, metha-[CH2-C6H4-CH2] (L = Cl , L = O-2,6-iPr2C6H3), which were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and elemental analysis, new dinuclear half-sandwich complexes of titanium with xylene bridge was obtained. Interestingly, these complexes were used as efficient catalysts for preparing sPS (syndiotactic polystyrene) in the presence of methylaluminoxane (MAO). It is clearly that bridge structure of dinuclear half-titanocene complexes plays a vital role for the catalytic activity in styrene polymerization. Metha- and ortho- catalysts containing xylene bridged showed obviously higher activity than that of the analogous pentamethylene bridge in the same condition. The polymerizations were conducted at three different temperatures (25, 40 and 70) and [Al]/[Ti] ratio of 2000 and 4000. Polymer yield is highest at 70°C with a [Al]/[Ti] ratio of 4000 for all catalysts.
