제목 The effect of impurities in bio-ethanol on direct internal reforming MCFC
초록 The effect of impurities in bio-ethanol on direct internal reforming molten carbonate fuel cell was examined. The activity of 15 wt% Ni/MgO catalyst was tested using a conventional quartz reactor fueled by bio-ethanol with 1% of impurities. The results showed that diethyl amine and methanol gave a positive effect on conversion of ethanol and selectivity for hydrogen. On the other hand, acetic acid and propanol imposed a negative effect. Optimized concentration of impurities was successfully determined by a 100 hour operation of single cell without significant decrease in performance.
