제목 | Surface Modification of Nafion® Membranes through Plasma Treatment |
초록 | Methanol crossover in Direct Methanol Fuel Cells (DMFC) caused a mixed potential and loss of fuel. In order to overcome this phenomenon, many researches were conducted focusing on reduction of methanol permeability of polyelectrolyte membranes In this study the surface of Nafion® membrane was modified by a plasma treatment technique, in order to impart methanol impermeable properties to Nafion® and to increase surface roughness and area for improved adhesion between membrane and catalyst layer. Some important parameters for DMFC, such as methanol permeabilities, ion conductivities, other physical and chemical properties, were investigated. |
