제목 Reinforcing effect of Networked Silica as a Filler on SBR Compounds
초록 In this study, the effects of networked silica filler on the crosslink density and the mechanical properties of SBR compounds were investigated. In networked silicas, silica particles are linked by organic materials of TESPT to elevate reactivity between rubber molecular chains and inorganic silica particles. Dynamic Mechanical Properties was measured as a function of temperature. Crosslink density of filled SBR vulcanizates was also calculated using Flory - Rhener equation with Kraus correction. The actual crosslink density was not significantly changed by an addition of networked silica. But, the filled rubber swelled less and modulus was greater by an addition of networked silica filler. Also, networked silica-filled SBR showed greater tensile strengths than conventional precipitated silica-filled SBR.
