The nickel oxide coated with porous carbon nanofibers were fabricated using electrospinning, vapour deposition polymerization (VDP) and carbonization. The thickness of polypyrrole as mediate materials was controlled by initiator concentration during the VDP process. Although the thickness of polypyrrole was shrink during carbonization steps, the tendency of thickness was well maintained according to the thickness of polypyrrole. The nickel oxide coated with porous carbon nanofibers was applied for electrochemical capacitors, and it showed more improved performance and stability than pristine NiO nanofibers. |
