Improved biocompatibility of calcium phosphate by the addition of pomegranate extract |
초록 |
Calcium phosphate, such as hydroxyapatite, is a inorganic compound widely used as bone substitutes since its chemical composition is similar to natural bone. Calcium phosphate is frequently used as a coating material to improve bone integration of bone substitutes. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the hybridization of natural pomegranate seed extract(PSE) in calcium phosphate on osteoblastic adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. The PSE concentrations used were 10-3, 10-4, and 10-5 g/ml. Hybrid films were prepared via sequential thermal treatments. Surface morphology of the thin films prepared with different PSE concentrations was observed using microscope and SEM. Skin cell responses including adhesion, viability, and bonding were examined. |
