Effects of incorporated natural safflower extract in calcium phosphate on osteoblasts |

The purpose of this study is to find the effect of natural safflower extract (NSE) incorporated in calcium phosphate thin films on biocompatibility. The hybrid films were prepared at three different NSE concentrations. For the preparation of the film, sequential thermal treatments were performed. We determined the optimal treatment duration for the formation of the thin film. At the same time, the surface morphology and chemical composition and state were analyzed using microscope, SEM, and FTIR. In order to evaluate the biocompatibility of the films, cellular assays, such as cell adhesion and growth were performed. Our result suggests that the ceramic material can be used as an excellent substrate for the bone tissue substitutes. |
