o-Carborane is a three-dimensional structure composed of boron and carbon. This substrate has 10 borons and is known as a strong acceptor. Therefore, it can be used as a new acceptor in designing Donor-Acceptor type Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence (TADF) materials. In addition, studies to introduce a blocking group to reduce the intermolecular interaction of TADF materials and increase the lifetime are being actively conducted. Accordingly, o-carborane, a three-dimensional structure, may be used as a group that inhibits intermolecular stacking. In this study, the possibility of using o-carborane as a new acceptor and blocking group was explored. |
