Syntheses and light-emitting properties of poly(9,9-di-octyloxyphenylfluorenyl-2,7-vinylene) |
초록 |
A new class of light-emitting poly(p-phenylenevinylene) (PPV) derivative, poly[9,9-bis(4’-octyloxyphenyl)fluorenyl-2,7-vinylene] (POPFV) has been synthesized and their light-emitting properties were investigated. Poly(alkylfluorene)s (PFs) have many advantages as emissive layer of EL devices. However, the emission of long-wavelength radiation by polymer films comprising PFs upon heating during device formation or operation has been the crucial problem for practical applications. We investigated the formation of additional longwavelength emission in poly(9,9-di-n-octylfluorenyl- 2,7-vinylene) (POFV) and POPFV because those polymers also have fluorene units. We observed the additional emission in poly(9,9-di-n-octylfluorenyl- 2,7-vinylene) (POFV) when we annealed the polymer film at 180 oC in dark air condition. POPFV, however did not show any significant additional emission around 2.2-2.3 eV. POPFV also showed a stable electroluminescence at different currents while POPV showed intense green emissions at high currents. Synthesis of POPFV and light-emitting properties of the polymer will be presented. |
