제목 Comparative studies polymer based activated carbon by various activation methods
초록 In this study, polymer-based activated carbon (PAC) for supercapacitors were prepared by using various physical activation methods (H2O and CO2). The structural characteristics of the PAC were observed by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. Pore characteristics were investigated by N2/77K adsorption isotherms. From the results, the specific surface area and total pore volume of the PAC were determined to be 1170–2410 m2/g and 0.48–1.22 cm3/g, respectively. It was also observed that various pore size distributions were found to be dependent on the functions of the activation method and time. The pore diameter of H2O activated PAC was observed to be larger than that of CO2 activated PAC, and the pore distribution was also observed to be broader. It was observed that the volume of pores with a size of 1.5–2.5 nm was found to be a key factor determining the electrochemical capacity.
