제목 Microscale Programmed Hydrogel Designed for Biomimetic Intestinal Organoids
초록 Engineering three-dimensional (3D) tissue structures presents great promises to recapitulate and manipulate the complex physiology of human organs. Specifically, several studies report the development of techniques for constructing a human intestinal villi model to examine its interaction with microbes. In this study, we present a study of a 4D programmed hydrogel construct that tune the 3D villi structures of extracellular matrix based on 3D geometry of the construct in a desired manner. The programmed hydrogel construct developed in this study would serve to direct 3D replica of human intestinal villi epithelium, provide a better understanding of the behavior of human intestinal cells, and allow the human-microbiome living organoid for intestinal metabolic diseases in vitro. Overall, this new technology to prepare the biological replica with the programed hydrogel would be widely used in drug delivery, tissue engineering, environmental engineering, and biomimetic engineering, etc.
