We have been facing scarcity of fossil fuel energy and increase of environmental pollution. Thus, many countries have been focused on developing the alternative, clean energy sources, one of which is a solar energy. Solution process holds advantage in fabricating low-cost, large-scaled production of solar cell. In this study, we have fabricated a device-quality, dense CI(G)S absorber layer for low-cost, high efficiency CI(G)S thin-film solar cell through a nanoparticle-based solution-process. Densification of CI(G)S absorber film is an essential requisite for improving the efficiency of CI(G)S thin-film solar cells. For this purpose, we synthesized the noble chalcogenide compounds that can be sintered effectively below 550 oC. The chemical properties of prepared nanoparticles were investigated with various analytic methods, such as Raman, FT-IR, ICP, TGA-DSC, SEM, and TEM. As a result, CISe thin-film solar cell exhibited a power conversion efficiency of 3.7 %. |
