제목 Fabirication of nanoadsorbent for the magnetical removal of cesium from contaminated water
초록 A huge amount of radioactive contaminants have leaked and spread over a large area of soil and water from the nuclear accident sites at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station in 2011. Metal ferrocyanide; such as Iron ferrocyanide is known as a low cost adsorbent which has a high selectivity for cesium and high stability for decomposition. However, very fine powder forms of metal ferrocyanide are difficult to collect the adsorbents used. In the present study, copper ferrocyanide-functionalized magnetic nanoclusters were fabricated for the removal of cesium ions and rapid magnetic separation of absorbent from contaminated water. The fabricated MNC@PEI-CuFC were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, TEM and VSM. The adsorption capability of MNC@PEI-CuFC in removing cesium from water was also investigated. From the result, these magnetic nanoclusters exhibited high removal efficiency of cesium in water and showed rapid magnetic separation of the adsorbent from the water after treatment.
