The good electronic conductivity and corrosion resistance, graphite based composite materials is commonly used in the fabrication of PEMFC bipolar plates. High temperature(HT) PEMFC, which operates in the temperature range of 130~200°C offer a number of potential advantages such as high CO tolerance without necessity for reactant gas humidification and simplified heat management compared to the low temperature PEMFC. However, the bipolar plates used in the HT PEMFC require a corrosion resistance as it being operated in the phosphoric acid environment. In the present study, PPS/Graphite composites have been prepared by melt blending technique. The influence of the phosphoric acid aging on the properties such as flexural strength, gas permeability, electrical conductivity of PPS/graphite composites have been investigated. The influence of phosphoric acid concentration, aging temperature and aging time on the properties of the PPS/graphite composites is also investigated. |
