Recently, synthesis of metal nanoparticles based on a plasma electrochemical process has been successfully demonstrated as a new synthetic route. Here, we investigate the effect of metal nanoparticle growth parameters in a plasma electrochemical process, such as the concentration of metal precursor, magnitude of direct current used, and growth temperature. If the metal precursor concentration, current, and growth temperature are low, small particle sizes with a narrow particle size distribution are produced. For further control, we first demonstrated seed-mediated growth in a plasma electrochemical process, and then showed the successful formation of nanoparticles with a mondispersed particle size distribution. |
