제목 | Various Advanced Imaging Techniques to Study Electrode Materials in Rechargeable Battery |
초록 | The development of lithium-ion battery technologies has ignited major breakthroughs in contemporary society, including electronics, transportation, and stationary energy storage system. The remarkable advancement is mainly attributed to improving battery performance with cycle life; however, it is still intimidating limitations of lower cost, higher energy density, and better safety for fulfilling the requirements. Further progress with rechargeable batteries may necessitate a better understanding of current lithium-ion battery electrochemistry and developing a new battery platform and/or chemistry. This talk will present various advanced imaging techniques to study electrode materials in rechargeable batteries with introducing a multi-scale microscope in gaining fundamental insights into scientific questions. Furthermore, complementary imaging analyses of electron and x-ray microscopy are also discussed. We highlight the importance of studying battery materials by combining analytical techniques with complementary length sensitivities with spatial resolution. |
