We designed a novel synthesis approach of targetable and non-targetable fluorescent hyaluronic acid-dopamine-functionalized silica nanoparticles by rational chemical dehydration method. Polyaniline (PANI) then were linked onto HA-decorated silica fluorescent nanoparticles via electrostatic interaction to form ionic complex of FNP(Si-HA)@PANI and FNP@PANI, which exhibited high intensity fluorescence and near infrared responsive photothermal effect, good dispersibility in solution, and specific labeling towards cancer cell. When near-infrared irradiation was applied, this material showed photothermal cytotoxicity guided bio-imaging which able to distinguish cancer and normal cells through CD44 receptor. |
