A hybrid filler system of aluminum nitride (AlN) and boron nitride (BN), which are highly thermally conductive fillers on the thermal conductivity and dynamic properties of the composites, has been integrated into the EPDM matrix. At the same volume fraction of polygonal AIN and planar BN particles, the packing efficiency was maximized and a thermal conductivity of 4.75 W/mK was obtained. Also, the thermal distortion parameter (TDP), which is an indicator of thermal stability, is very high, about 8.4 m/K, and it can be confirmed that it is very stable thermally during the design and processing of the material. The damping effect was very excellent due to the heat dissipation effect by the filler-filler slip between AlN and BN, resulting in about 15 times higher damping effect than the base-EDPM composite. |
