제목 | Breast cancer therapy using biomaterials combining antibody and photosensitizer |
초록 | Specific accumulation by targeting the cancer site is one of the conditions to become an effective anticancer agent. Antibody therapy against breast cancer specific receptor reported to efficiently prevent the development of cancer, but it has limited penetration into cancer tissue. To overcome this limitation, we combined antibody and photosensitizer (APS) to target tumor sites and increase cancer tissue penetration. Under laser irradiation PS produces reactive oxygen species (ROS). ROS are highly reactive and cause cancer cell death. Since ROS damages the extracellular matrix, the effect of tissue penetration also increases. As a result, the strong fluorescence intensity of APS and the specific interaction of cancer receptor ligand were proved. We confirmed the anticancer effects of APS in vivo and in vitro. Drug penetration and efficient APS distribution across cancer tissues are expected to contribute significantly to the development of breast cancer treatment. |
