Molecularly imprinted polymers were synthesized in water-containing system by bulk polymerization and in-situ copolymerization using fluoroquinolones as templates, methacryclic acid/ acrylamide as monomers, and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate/ trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate as cross-linkers. Morphological characteristics, recognition properties, binding capability, and chromatographic characteristic of the obtained MIPs were investigated and the results revealed that the imprinted polymers have high selectivity and affinity to target both in organic and aqueous environment. The obtained water-compatible MIPs give the MIPs the potential for the use in the enrichment and separation of fluoroquinolones in environmental and biological samples. |
