Aptamer-Conjugated Polypyrrole Nanowire Arrays FET Sensor for Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Detection |

Carboxylated polypyrrole nanowire arrays (CPNWA) on CVD graphene were fabricated using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and electrodeposition method. Depending on the temperature and reaction time, the morphology of the polypyrrole was controlled from vertically aligned nanowire to nanofiber complex. The as-prepared CPNWA on CVD graphene was applied for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) FET sensor transducers. For the detection of target molecules, amine-terminated anti-HBsAg binding aptamers were immobilized on the CPNWA surface via covalent bonding. These FET sensor exhibited high sensitivity and selectivity with lower minimum detectable level, due to the higher surface area. This sensing platform can be extended to detect various biomarkers. |
