제목 Fabrication of Photonic Crystal Film
초록 2D photonic crystal, with the form of single colloidal crystal, was prepared by rubbing the powder of SiO2 particles having the same size. By the rubbing process, it was able to fabricate large area of 2D photonic crystal quickly and easily without grain boundaries. After rubbing the particles, thin polymer layer was coated so that particles could remain their arrays after stretching or flexing. Only coated polymer layer could be taken off with particles which can be called as photonic crystal film. Furthermore, particles was removed to form ordered-hole structure instead of particles same as inverse-opal structure in 3D photonic crystal. Since particles were perfectly coated, film was able to be not only stretched but rolled also. This photonic crystal film, no matter with particles or holes, can be widely used in optical applications.
