제목 Fabrication of a co-continuous conducting polymer phase in self-assembled colloidal particles using polymer coated gold nanoparticles.
초록 Co-continuous polymer blends based on high internal polymer phase emulsions (HIPPEs) have attracted a great deal of attention in various fields, such as membranes, foams, and barriers. In particular, co-continuous conducting polymer films are of great importance for their potential in optoelectronic devices, including polymer solar cells and LEDs. We propose a novel and robust strategy for creating co-continuous conducting polymer films with ultralow percolation thresholds based on using polymer-coated gold nanoparticles as a surfactant. Co-continuous polymer films of high internal phase polymer emulsions (HIPPEs) were fabricated using an assembly of crosslinked polystyrene colloidal particles. Polymer-coated gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) were carefully designed and synthesized to be thermally stable even above 200 ˚C and to be neutral to both the insulating and conducting phases.
