Graphene have attracted intensive attention for biomedical application. Polyelectrolyte hydrogels formed by chitosan(CS) and xanthan gum(XG) are also promising materials with properties of biocompatibility which are able to use for encapsulation and controlled release of food ingredients, cell, enzymes, and therapeutic agents. Many papers reported that carbon based material can improve mechanical strength at composites. In this study, in order to enhance the material strength of hydrogel at XG/CS composite, graphene oxide was used by controlling pH and mixing method. There are 5 types of CS/XG/GO hydrogels with different amount of GO (0, 5, 10, 15, 20 wt%). In this study, the structure, thermal stability of the composite hydrogels have been investigated by the X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). Other mechanical properties were also investigated by universal testing machine and so on. |
