Adsorption, and Separation Process of Lanthanide Ions on Magneitc Adsorbents with Amine, and Carboxylate Functional Groups |
초록 |
Synthesis of the functionalized magnetic adsorbents has been focused for their adsorption and separation abilities. Magnetic adsorbents were prepared by synthesis of nanoclusters with Fe3O4/SiO2 core/shell structures and surface functionalizations with amine, and carboxyl groups to separate lanthanide ions from aqueous media. The adsorption results are evaluated by theoretical adsorption models with Langmuir isotherm, and 1st order kinetics. The adsorption models indicate their 1st ordered chemical, and monolayered adsorption uptake on the functional groups, and provide adsorption equilibriums. Lanthanide ions can be separated from functional groups in alkali conditions due to reversible interaction on the functional groups. Adsorption tendency is highly related to the forming cage complex on the surface functionality, which is based on the thermodynamic values. |
