A new blue emitting material including coumarin moiety, 7-(3-Carbazol-9-yl-phenyl)-chromen-2-one (C-PCa), 7-(9-Phenyl-9H-carbazol-3-yl)-chromen-2-one (PCa-C), 7-[9-(3-Carbazol-9-yl-phenyl)-9H-carbazol-3-yl]-chromen-2-one (CaPCa-C) were synthesized by Ullman reaction. Optical properties were examined by UV-Vis. absorption spectra and PL spectra. The UV-Vis. absorption spectra of CaPCa-C in film states showed maximum absorption wavelengths of 345 nm. The PL spectra of CaPCa-C showed maximum emission wavelengths of 467 nm in film states. A non-doped OLED was fabricated using the synthesized material as an emitting material. The CaPCa-C compound exhibited current efficiency of 1.34 cd/A and CIE of (0.18, 0.23). |
