제목 Cu2O QDs‐apoferritin for Fluorescent Sensing
초록  For biolabeling application, there has been a great interest in cadmium chalcogenide nanostructures mainly due to their optical advantages over organic fluorophores. However, because of the inherent toxicity of these systems, there is a natural seek for substituting cadmium ions and producing less toxic labeling materials. Cu2O, cuprous oxide, is a typical p-type semiconductor with a band gab of 1.9 - 2.2eV [1], many experimental observations and semiconductor applications for Cu2O have been demonstrated in areas such as solar cells, gas sensors, batteries, and catalysis. In the present work, non‐toxic Cu2O QDs were efficiently synthesized in the cavity of apoferritin. The Cu2O QDs are crystalline with an average size of 3 nm. The optical properties were characterized by Uv-Vis spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL) measurement. This QDs probe can be effectively conjugated with dopamine causing PL quenching effect.
