Photo-Curing Kinetics of Acrylate Functionalized Oligomers |

Photo-induced coating methods like UV (ultraviolet), IR (Infra-red), and EB (electron beam), have been applied to a large industrials fields such as paints, adhesive, electronic etc. Because the curable materials feature relatively low energy consumption and free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). We successfully synthesized three types of functionalized acrylate oligomers which consist of acrylate, urethane modified acrylate, and epoxy modified acrylate, respectively. These compounds were characterized with 1H-NMR and FT-IR. The photo-curing kinetics was monitored by photo-DSC. In this study, we investigate curing kinetics and adhesion properties of acrylate oligomers containing the variety of chemical structures. |
