Dual responsive polymeric micelle for cell Imaging and drug delivery |

This paper reports the development of dual responsive polymeric micelles having pH responsive boronate ester and DTT responsive disulfide bonds to deliver anticancer drug Taxol. The facile conjugation between Pluronic and Chitlac with Poly (DMA-MAA-SP-BA) (Plu-Chit/PDMSB) was confirmed by 1H NMR, UV-Vis and Fluorescence spectroscopy and DLS before and after loading the drug. The prepared micelles show strong fluorescence due to conversion from SP to merocyanine (MC) form. Taxol loading content was 7.66 % with 83.62% loading efficiency. Cellular uptake of the Taxol loaded micelles was confirmed via CLSM. These polymeric micelles can be used as a carrier of hydrophobic anticancer drug delivery system. This facile strategy can be a useful platform to deliver anticancer drug and detect cancer cells. |
