제목 | Parametric study of the catalytic oxidation of CO and propane for marine diesel engine exhaust gas |
초록 | Recently, International Maritime Organization (IMO) has adopted mandatory measures to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases from international shipping, under IMO’s pollution prevention treaty. Accordingly, shipbuilders introduced the diesel oxidation catalysts to reduce CO and THC in Selective Catalytic Reduction systems. The primary functions of DOC are oxidation of CO, unburned hydrocarbons, and NO in the flue gas. However, the SO2 and H2O in exhaust gas can lead the deactivation of DOC. In this study, the catalytic activities were investigated in terms of CO and C3H8 conversions at various reaction temperature and space velocity using a commercial catalyst. The tolerances of the catalyst were evaluated around 350-400oC adding H2O and SO2 in the feeding gas. Acknowledgments This work was supported by the Technology Innovation Program (20007868, Development of hybrid SCR system for small and medium marine engine) funded by the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy (MOTIE, Korea). |
