제목 Effect of Surfactants on the Eletcro-optical Properties of Holographic Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal
초록 Effects of surfactant on the morphology, diffraction efficiency, and electro-optical properties of transmisson holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal have been studied. The interposition of sufactants between polymer and LC droplet was theoretically predicted by the spreading coefficient which was calculated based on solubility parameter. Droplet size decreased with the addition and increasing amount of surfactant due to the encapsulation of LC droplets by surfactant leading to less droplet coalescence. The increased diffraction efficiency was caused by the decreased droplet size and increased droplet density. Applied driving voltage decreased with increasing surfactants content because surfactants reduces interfacial tension
