제목 Preparation and Properties of CNF- and CNT-Reinforced Poly(ethylene terephthalate) Nanocomposites
초록 Carbon nanofiber (CNF)-reinforced poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) nanocomposites were prepared by mixing CNF with PET at 290℃ using a twin-screw extruder and extruding them at room temperature. The extrudates were melt-pressed to films at 280℃ and quenched in ice-water. Surface-modified CNF was also used to enhance interfacial adhesion. Addition of CNF as a filler to PET film led to increases in thermal stability and electrical conductivity and a decrease in crystallization temperature compared to homo PET. Carbon nanotube (CNT)-reinforced PET films were also prepared and compared to CNF-reinforced one. Tensile strength of the melt-quenched PET/CNF and PET/CNT films increased with increasing additive content, the increase being greater for the former than the latter.
