Preparation and Characterization of Ferroelectric Memory Elements Based on Poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene)-Fullerene C60 Nanocomposites |

A synergistic effect of ferroelectricity and charge trapping on the capacity of memory elements based on poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) (72/28)-fullerene C60 (P(VDF-TrFE)-C60) nanocomposites has been investigated. Primarily, nanoscale thin films of P(VDF-TrFE)-C60 containing all trans conformation and molecular chains preferentially aligned along the substrate surface were prepared on indium tin oxide coated glass from dimethylacetamide/toluene (50/50 vol.-%) mixture solvent through heat controlled spin coating. Furthermore, the memory characteristics as well as the surface topography of P(VDF-TrFE)-C60 will be studied in detail.
