Effect of Electron Beam irradiation on the Mechanical properties of Epoxy Acrylate Resins |

The epoxy acrylate resins can be cured in short time and environmental friendly by electron beam irradiation.In this study, the effects of an electron beam irradiation on the mechanical properties of epoxy acrylate resins were investigated. The electron beam which was generated at 10 MeV acceleration voltage was exposed to epoxy acrylate resins up to 100 kGy under nitrogen atmosphere to cure. The curing degree of epoxy acrylates was measured by gel contents. And the mechanical properties of EB cured epoxy acrylates such as flexural strength and tensile strength were characterized by universal testing machine (UTM). |
