This study was investigated to test the combustion properties of wood specimen for the constructional interiors, especially focusing on fire indices-III which is fire risk properties. Smoke release properties were measured by using a cone calorimeter (ISO 5660-1) and used cypress wood. The external heat flux was maintained at 50 kW/m2. Fire performance index-III increased by 12 ~ 19 times compared with uncoated specimens, respectively. And it increased in the order of Cypress, Talc10, Talc30, Talc 20. The fire growth index-III decreased by 92 ~ 96% and it decreased in order of Cypress, Talc20, Talc30, Talc10. Fire risk index-IV decreased by 99.51 ~ 99.56% and it decreased in order of Talc10, Talc30, Talc20. The fire risk properties of all specimens coated with flame retardant was reduced and Talc20 was the best flame retardant. |
