제목 A Fire Risk Rating Assessment of Wood Coated with Talc Mixtures
초록 This study was investigated to test the combustion properties of wood specimen for the constructional interiors, especially focusing on fire indices-III which is fire risk properties. Smoke release properties were measured by using a cone calorimeter (ISO 5660-1) and used cypress wood. The external heat flux was maintained at 50 kW/m2. Fire performance index-III increased by 12 ~ 19 times compared with uncoated specimens, respectively. And it increased in the order of Cypress, Talc10, Talc30, Talc 20. The fire growth index-III decreased by 92 ~ 96% and it decreased in order of Cypress, Talc20, Talc30, Talc10. Fire risk index-IV decreased by 99.51 ~ 99.56% and it decreased in order of  Talc10, Talc30, Talc20. The fire risk properties of all specimens coated with flame retardant was reduced and Talc20 was the best flame retardant.
