Development of a bench-scale BFB reactor for bio-oil production from sawdust |
초록 |
Lignocellulosic biomass is one of the most abundant renewable energy resources over the world. Nevertheless, lignocellulosic biomass is not regarded as a promising fuel for power generation systems or vehicles because of its very low energy density and inconvenience in the use due to the solid phase. Fast pyrolysis can convert lignocellulosic biomass to liquid fuel (bio-oil) with relatively high yield up to 70 wt%. Furthermore, biomass fast pyrolysis system is simple and operated at atmospheric pressure and temperatures less than 600 oC. In a commercialization point of view, it is important to develop a continuous system that allows not only high yields of bio-oil but also reduce the load of cyclone, thereby a long-term operation of the system can be realized. In this work, a double-tube type bubbling fluidized bed reactor is developed to achieve this purpose. The double-type reactor allows continuous removal of significant amounts of bio-char at the bottom of the reactor. |
