Graphene nanosheets (GNS) / nickel hydroxide (Ni(OH)2) nanocomposites were prepared by a chemical precipitation method. The morphology and structure of GNS/Ni(OH)2 composites were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). From the TEM images, the Ni(OH)2 were anchored on the surface of GNS, forming a big disordered aggregation with crumpled sheets associated with each other. Electrical performances of GNS/Ni(OH)2 composites were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The GNS/Ni(OH)2 composites showed the higher specific capacitance. This high specific capacitance is contributed to the positive synergy effect of GNS and Ni(OH)2 nanoparticles. These improved electrical properties of GNS/Ni(OH)2 composites are suitable as electrode materials. |
