In this study, we prepared polyaniline (PANI)/graphene nanosheets (GNS) composites via in situ polymerization of aniline monomer (ANI) in the presence of graphene suspension in HCl solution. The morphology, structure and crystallinity of the composites were examined by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transition electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Electrochemical properties were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 1M H2SO4 electrolyte. High electrochemical performance of the PANI–GO electrode could be due to increasing active sites for the deposition of polyaniline provided by large surface areas of graphene nanosheets and the synergistic effect between polyaniline and graphene oxide. These results demonstrated the importance and great potential of graphene oxide in the development of high-performance supercapacitor based on polyaniline. |
